
Madison County lawmakers have been recognized for their contributions to legislation supporting economic growth and job creation. According to Indiana House Republicans, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce ranked these legislators highly based on their voting record during the 2025 session. The scores reflected alignment with areas such as child care, economic development, education, energy, health care, public finance/taxation, and road funding, which are part of the Chamber’s Indiana Prosperity 2035 strategy.
State Reps. Lori Goss-Reaves, Chris Jeter, Ethan Lawson, Kyle Pierce, and Elizabeth Rowray earned scores above 90 percent. The lawmakers were graded on their support of House Enrolled Acts 1003, 1002, and 1007, which address health care costs, education regulations, and the state’s energy needs. They also supported Senate Enrolled Act 1, which provides property tax relief and reform.
Chief Executive Magazine ranked Indiana first in the Midwest and sixth nationwide in its Best & Worst States for Business survey. Forbes placed Indiana second on its Best states to start a business in list.
