Early this morning, a man died after his SUV crashed into a house on the north side of Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded just after 4 a.m. to the 7800 block of Delbrook Drive near West 79th Street and Ditch Road, WTHR reported. Officers found the scene of a single-vehicle accident, and the driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
According to FOX59, the man later died at the hospital. No other individuals were injured in the incident.
IMPD’s fatal crash investigation team is investigating the cause of the crash. WISH-TV reported the collision happened in the Holiday housing addition. Specific details about the driver and what led to the crash have not yet been released.
