A fatal shooting on Indianapolis' north side has claimed the life of a man, according to reports from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. The incident occurred in a residential area on the 8000 block of Dowitch Lane, which is situated just south of Ascension St. Vincent Hospital at the intersection of W. 79th Street and Township Line Road. FOX59 confirmed that IMPD crews arrived at the scene around 12:15 p.m. today after reports of a possible person shot.
Upon arrival, IMPD officers discovered a man inside an apartment who had sustained gunshot wounds, he was pronounced dead at the scene as reported by WTHR.
