Muncie experienced a series of shootings late last night that left one man in critical condition and four others wounded. The first incident occurred at an apartment complex on South Walnut Street, where police found two men shot, one critically and one in stable condition, WTHR reported. Two more shootings followed, one in a convenience store parking lot and another inside a residence on South Monroe Street, all happening within hours.
According to a statement from the Muncie Police Department, the three shootings appear to be separate incidents. The locations under investigation include South Madison Street and East Willard Street, South Walnut Street and East 26th Street, and South Monroe Street and East 6th Street.
The Muncie Police Department is leading the investigations and has not released additional details, as reported by FOX59. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Muncie Police Department Detective Division or the Muncie Police Dispatch.
