
Two juveniles have been taken into custody in connection with a shooting that left one man critically injured in Fort Wayne, Indiana. According to the City of Fort Wayne official website, the incident occurred on the 4400 block of Bowser Ave on August 23. The victim, an adult male, was found with a gunshot wound and was rushed to an area trauma center in life-threatening condition.
Investigations by the Fort Wayne Police Department's Homicide Unit quickly moved to identify two suspects, a 14-year-old male juvenile and a 13-year-old male juvenile. By August 28, the Homicide Task Force managed to apprehend both suspects on the 3700 block of Gaywood Dr. Despite their young ages, both juveniles have been charged with grave crimes and are currently being held at the Allen County Juvenile Center. Their charges include Attempted Murder, couched in the legal terms of (Acting in Concert), and Burglary.
Both suspects are now facing severe legal consequences as the charges laid before them carry significant implications, especially considering their status as minors. The legal system now has to carefully navigate to rightfully hold individuals accountable while also duly considering the juvenile status of the accused.
