Anderson, Indiana resident Anthony Carmack, aged 33, was taken into custody on Tuesday, facing ten felony charges stemming from online activities that exploited minors.
Originating with CyberTips issued by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the investigation into Carmack's conduct uncovered multiple accounts linked to him which gave rise to nine separate tips evidence surfaced during a search of social media and the defendant’s home revealed communications with minors and possession of child sex abuse material involving both children and animals, as per the announcement posted by the Fishers Police Department.
Carmack, a registered sex offender, has also been reported to have made certain admissions about his state of mind but denied any physical misconduct involving children; the task force's investigation concluded with the uncovering of material indicative of the alleged crimes, this evidence plays a crucial role as the individual now faces the judicial system with the presumption of innocence until proven guilty according to the norms of due process, as mentioned in the law enforcement release.
