The City of Carmel has announced official trick-or-treat hours for Halloween on October 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. According to a City of Carmel news release, homes with porch lights on will be participating, while unlit homes indicate non-participation.
City officials urge residents to observe the designated hours and prioritize safety. Trick-or-treaters are advised to use reflective items, carry flashlights, and ensure children are supervised. Motorists are also reminded to drive carefully and stay alert for pedestrians.
Additional safety guidelines include wearing costumes that do not obstruct movement or vision and opting for face paint instead of masks when possible. The City of Carmel also encourages checking all collected candy before consumption and discarding any unsealed items.
The City of Carmel reminds everyone to stay visible, watch for traffic, and practice caution to ensure a safe Halloween celebration for all.
