A photographer from Connersville, Indiana, is in custody following allegations that he used his photography business to exploit and abuse children. 22-year-old Mikell Jovon Shepard faces charges related to child pornography and molestation. The case began after Google reported a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, prompting local and federal authorities to take action.

Investigators reportedly found more than 17,000 images on Shepard’s Google Photos account, according to FOX59. Indiana's Internet Crimes Against Children task force classified the case as priority one, indicating Shepard’s potential involvement in producing or distributing child sexual abuse material. Court documents allege that Shepard engaged in inappropriate conduct with children as young as five. Last Friday, a day after the case became public, police executed a search warrant and seized multiple devices for further examination.

Shepard reportedly admitted to a sexual attraction to children and to using photography to access and photograph them nude. As per Local 12, he also used Telegram to exchange child sexual abuse material, contributing to the investigation.

Shepard remains in the Fayette County Jail without bond pending further legal action. Authorities continue to investigate the case, which may reveal additional victims or evidence.
