An investigation that has been conducting its business for an extended period by several law enforcement agencies has yielded three arrests in Decatur County, Tennessee. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Drug Investigation Division, alongside deputies from both the Decatur and Henderson County Sheriff's Departments and Parsons Police Department officers, has secured and taken custody of narcotics and related equipment. The bust uncovered varying quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine, Xanax, and drug paraphilia.
After acquiring and executing search warrants on September 29th, the collective force descended upon two different homes, one located in Parsons on East Main Street and the other in Decaturville on East South Street. Discovering a stockpile of drugs, three individuals found themselves under arrest. Booked into the Decatur County Jail were Bart Nelson McPeak, Douglass Hugh Greer, and Charles Kenneth Smith, Jr., as reported by the TBI Newsroom.
McPeak, with a bond set at $25,000, faces charges of intent to manufacture, deliver, or sell methamphetamine, in addition to simple possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The same bond and charges apply to Greer. Smith, however, is being held without bond and is additionally charged with possession of alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax. As law dictates, these charges are but mere accusations of criminal behavior, leaving the accused with the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
