On Saturday, a hit-and-run crash on Indianapolis’ north side left one person dead and another seriously injured. Police said the crash happened around 2 a.m. near 58th Street and College Avenue. Witnesses said a silver car hit a red pickup truck and drove away. The impact caused the pickup to lose control, hit two parked cars, cross the road, and crash into trees on North College Avenue. Debris from the crash ended up outside the home of Molly Felabom, who told FOX59, “It is really sad to think that that happened right in front of the house.” She mentioned a similar past accident in the area and concerns for her child’s safety.
The investigation into the hit-and-run on Saturday on Indianapolis’ north side continues. IMPD Captain John Arvin said, “No leads yet, but there are plenty of cameras around here, intersection cameras, things like that, so hopefully we’ll get some leads off that,” as mentioned by FOX59. Police are reviewing surveillance footage, and cleanup crews from the Department of Public Works cleared the area. A silver car caused the crash, which left one person dead and another critically injured. The IMPD fatal crash team is still investigating, and no further details have been released, as per WRTV.
