Yesterday, a fatal incident unfolded in Pembroke Pines as gunshots broke the night's stillness outside Rickey's Sports Bar and Grill. Responding to the scene, police discovered two men, victims of multiple gunshot wounds, in the establishment's parking lot at 8389 Pines Blvd. One man's life was claimed by the violence, and the other is now receiving treatment at a local hospital. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Clayton Hicks, was later apprehended in Miami, according to NBC Miami.
Hicks is facing second-degree murder charges with a firearm after the deadly altercation. Conducting their investigation, officials located Hicks, who had by then fled to Miami. Taken into custody by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office and the FBI, the suspect now awaits the legal repercussions of that night's events. The Pembroke Pines police have yet to unveil further details of the shooting as their investigation remains active. Meanwhile, Hicks has been booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, pending extradition to Broward County to face the charges laid upon him.
