According to their latest update, overnight showers and a possible thunderstorm with a low around 70 degrees are on the forecast, with south-southeast wind gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is pinned at 80%, and although rainfall might generally be less than a tenth of an inch, areas hit by thunderstorms could see greater amounts.
Heading into Tuesday, the wet weather is expected to persist with showers and possible thunderstorms maintaining their hold on the skies, and a high near 81 degrees. Winds will pick up from the south, moving at 10 to 15 mph and potentially peaking with gusts up to 25 mph. The NWS forecast indicates that the chance of rain remains high, at 90%, bringing new rainfall between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.
As Tuesday night falls, the likelihood of rainfall diminishes somewhat, with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 pm. The clouds, however, are not in any hurry to part, with mostly cloudy conditions and a low around 63 degrees ushering in a shift in wind to the west and eventually north post-midnight. The midweek forecast for Wednesday suggests a day of transition, starting cloudy through mid-morning, then leading to gradual clearing with a high near 75. North northeast winds could again reach 15 to 20 mph gusts.
Wednesday night's skies are pegged to be mostly clear, providing a cooler respite with lows dipping to around 51 degrees. Northeast winds will persist but lighten slightly, cruising at about 10 mph, with potential for gusts as high as 20 mph. Thursday promises simpler, sunnier climes with an expected high of 73, and a continuation of northeast wind near 10 mph. Looking further ahead, Friday will likely greet residents with patchy fog before 8 am and another mostly sunny day, peaking at a warm 78 degrees. The weekend forecast indicates a repetition of clear conditions, with sunny days and highs approaching the low 80s and nights settling in the low 50s.
