Last Thursday night, the quiet of Hurricane was pierced by the screech of tires and the crash of metal as a vehicle veered off-road and collided with a home. According to FOX13, Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue was dispatched just before 11:00 p.m. to the scene where the car had struck a residence, with officials noting that, fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, identified only as a juvenile, appeared to have escaped harm, and all occupants had left the car without assistance by the time first responders arrived. "The driver, a juvenile, was evaluated by paramedics but was not transported," stated the Hurricane fire department in a Facebook post quoted by KSLTV. The fire department also reported, "Fortunately, no injuries were reported from anyone inside the residence."
Imagery from the scene, captured and reported by KUTV, showed a car with its trunk extensively damaged, having demolished a fence as it crashed into the backyard of the home. While the accident's aftermath was visually arresting, the specifics on what prompted the young driver to veer off the road have not been disclosed by the Hurricane Valley Fire Department.
