The Utah County Children's Justice Center recently held a Casino Night Fundraiser, promising both a good time and a good cause for those in attendance. Set in Provo's The Belvedere on yesterday evening, the event featured casino games, music, and savory delights, but more than that, it provided much-needed support for young victims of abuse. With $100 securing entry for a couple, not a solitary soul, the invitation extended to friends and partners alike to join and aid in what the Justice Center contends with annually, raising funds for the essential services they provide to these children in distress.
According to Utah County, guests had the opportunity to indulge in the thrill of risk-free gambling and the chance to win prizes. Meanwhile, their financial contributions directly benefited the Children's Justice Center (CJC) and its laudable endeavors. Forensic interviews, medical exams, therapy, along with legal advocacy and community resources, were all part of the comprehensive aid provided by CJC, delineated under a single all-encompassing banner.
Rebecca Martell from the CJC illuminated the tangible impact of such fundraising efforts. "Your support helps us maintain our facilities and cover the cost of therapy—over $100,000 annually—for children and families who cannot otherwise afford treatment," she expressed, as per Utah County, shedding light on the stark realities behind the figures.
