According to a news release, the "Tackling Hunger Together" initiative invites locals to pledge their support in a friendly competition that transcends the football field.
"This is about turning rivalry into unity," Mayor Finkam told local media. On the other hand, Mayor Willis highlighted the broader goal of the challenge: "We all want bragging rights, but the real victory is making sure no one in our community goes hungry. Let's prove that teamwork extends far beyond the game." Donations can be made via an online platform, with each donor able to attribute their gift to either Team Carmel or Team Westfield.
