In a recent message to the Carmel community, Mayor Sue Finkam took the opportunity to express her gratitude for the hard work and community spirit that has defined the city. As Thanksgiving approaches, the Mayor acknowledged various groups within the city for their roles in enriching the lives of its residents. "To our City teams, City Council, Boards, Commission and Committee members, volunteers and City partners, thank you for your commitment, hard work and tireless efforts to make Carmel a truly exceptional place to raise a family, build a career and share with visitors," said Finkam in the statement posted early Thanksgiving morning.
The Mayor's message went on to thank the broader Carmel community for its engagement and goodwill, emphasizing the strength that comes from working together. In a note filled with holiday cheer, Finkam also expressed hope for the residents to enjoy their Thanksgiving with "warmth, delicious food and time with loved ones," along with the possibilities of watching football, visiting the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, and getting an early start on holiday shopping at the local event Shop Small Shop Carmel.
"We are strongest when we work together, and I am thankful for the trust and support you place in us," Finkam acknowledged, pointing toward a future where cooperation and gratitude continue to be the cornerstones of Carmel's identity.
