The decision came as the property owner listed the building for sale, and subsequently, an agreement on a lease extension could not be established between the parties in question.
Mesh was one of the initial trailblazers in the now thriving arts and cultural district, setting a precedent for what would follow, as Cunningham Restaurant Group subsequently opened more than seven restaurants in downtown Indianapolis and expanded with a total of 45 establishments across Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. The Mesh establishment on Mass Ave. is not the only location operated by the group, as they also boast another location in Louisville, Kentucky, which is not affected by the impending closure, indicating that the Mesh brand will still maintain a physical presence despite the cessation of the Mass Ave. location, catering to its clientele with its popular menu options.
