The auction is designed to provide assistance to families in the Fishers community who are in need of a little extra help, with a focus on the holiday season.
According to the Facebook post, the initiative offers a chance to make real contributions to the lives of children and families around Fishers. Some of the exciting offers up for bids include "A Ride to School in the Bearcat," "A Private K9 Demonstration," and "Donuts with the Police."
In what seems to be a break from their normal patrol duties, Fishers police officers are taking on a new role as community philanthropists. "Every bid brings us one step closer to making the season brighter for children right here in Fishers,” the Facebook post reads.
