An IMPD detective assisted an injured animal on the interstate last Friday. According to a social media post by IMPD Northwest District, Detective Rossman noticed an injured owl and, together with Officer Tillison, took steps to ensure the animal’s safety.
The two officers safely secured the injured owl and arranged for its care at Paws, Wings, & Other Things Wildlife Rescue, a local organization that provides support for animals in need. The owl was transported to the rescue facility for treatment and rehabilitation.
The IMPD Northwest District has shared images and updates on the owl’s condition on their Facebook page, allowing the public to track its recovery. The post, using the hashtag #TheGreatNorthwest, has received responses from community members.
