The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is asking the public for help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that critically injured a teenage girl, noting that the vehicle may have visible damage to the front center portion of the bumper. The incident occurred on the city’s west side around 4:07 p.m. on Monday near West 34th Street and Allison Avenue, FOX59 reported.

The IMPD has identified the suspect vehicle as a black 2018–2020 Honda Accord. As per WISH-TV, the car is believed to have fled eastbound on West 34th Street after the collision. The victim, a teenage girl walking home from school, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities are asking anyone with information or camera footage that could help locate the vehicle involved in the incident to come forward.
