A tragic incident occurred on the southeast side of Indianapolis on a Tuesday night, where one individual lost their life in a two-vehicle collision. FOX59 reported that Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 6300 block of Southeastern Avenue around 10:50 p.m., where they encountered the aftermath of the crash involving a Chrysler truck and a gray Ford.
The collision's force was such that, despite emergency response efforts, a passenger from one of vehicles was pronounced dead at the hospital. As reported by WTHR, the identity of the deceased will be released by the coroner's office once next of kin have been notified. Both drivers involved in the incident were transported to local hospitals for a blood draw, a routine procedure followed in such crashes, though impairment is not believed to be a factor according to police.
Further details revealed by WRTV indicate that a Ford vehicle was driving eastbound on Old U.S. 421 when it made contact with the Chrysler, which was in the process of making a left turn onto Southeastern Avenue from westbound Old US 421.
