
A Thanksgiving morning in Indianapolis was marred by a deadly incident involving a shooting and a fire on the east side. According to FOX59, the Indianapolis Fire Department responded to a call at a residence on the 3700 block of North Audubon Road just after 10:15 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds.
One victim was later declared dead at the scene, while another was found to nearly critically suffer from their injuries. They were immediately transported to an area hospital for medical attention. WRTV reported on the condition of the second victim and noted the ongoing police investigation into the incident.
The circumstances that led to the shootings and the subsequent fire remain unclear. Investigators are trying to ascertain whether there is a connection between the gun violence and the blaze that took hold of the residence.
