Six individuals are currently recuperating in IU Health Bloomington Hospital following a severe traffic incident in Bloomington yesterday. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported to the 600 block of East Smithville Road after calls emerged about a collision involving significant injuries. WTHR mentioned that a white Toyota Prius crossed left of center, initiating a head-on crash with an Chevrolet Equinox going in the opposite direction.
Details from the responding authorities indicate that the incident took place just after 3 p.m. and resulted in injuries to all occupants of the involved vehicles. According to The Bloomingtonian, both vehicles’ passengers, including four from the Prius and two from the Equinox, required ambulance transportation to the hospital. The current state of those involved was not disclosed by officials.
