An incident in West Valley City has left a suspect in critical condition following an officer-involved shooting late Thursday night. According to KUTV, members of the US Marshal's Office were executing an arrest warrant at a residence near 3900 South 5600 West when the situation escalated. At around 9:30 p.m., the man, whose identity has not been disclosed but is known to hail from St. George, attempted to flee the scene while reportedly armed with a handgun.
During the chase, an officer from a task force opened fire, striking the man. "A task force officer fired on the suspect," as detailed by ABC4, leading to his immediate hospitalization.
