The incident occurred near County Road 400 North around 8:45 p.m., with police still unraveling the sequence of events that led to this violent confrontation.
As additional details come to light, it has been clarified by WTHR that one of the town marshals is now in stable condition at an Indianapolis hospital. Contrary to initial reports, the other town marshal was not injured due to the protection afforded by their bulletproof vest.
