The identities of the deceased were released by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
In a statement obtained by The Independent, Beyond Monumental, the organizers behind the marathon, emphasized their commitment to the safety of the participants, expressing deep gratitude to the medical professionals and emergency personnel for their response. "Our on-site medical team and local first responders provided immediate, coordinated care. We are working closely with medical and public safety officials and will continue to offer our full support," the organizers stated.
