
An early morning shooting on Indianapolis' northwest side took the life of a 23-year-old man this past Saturday. According to WTHR, the incident was reported just after 2 a.m. in the 3900 block of Bonn Drive. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived to find the young man, later identified as Keymanee Rippy, shot inside a home and pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, authorities reported a missing family from the residence where Rippy’s body was found: a 1-year-old girl, an 8-year-old boy, and a 22-year-old woman. FOX59 said the woman told the outlet around 6:30 p.m. that her children were safe, though their connection to Rippy remains unclear.
Police are asking the public for help. “Anyone with information about this incident should call Detective TyAnn Lambert at the IMPD Homicide Office,” WISH-TV reported. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency and IMPD continue to investigate the fatal shooting.
