The Fishers Fire Department reported that its Fire Prevention Bureau conducted more than 700 inspections this year. According to a recent social media post, the inspections covered commercial buildings and new construction to ensure compliance with fire and life safety requirements. These actions are part of the department’s routine efforts to maintain safety in the community.
In addition to inspections, the Fire Prevention Bureau facilitated the installation of 117 residential Knox Boxes. These wall-mounted safes allow firefighters quick access to homes during emergencies, reducing response time and potential property damage.
"Knox Boxes help save time, reduce forced entry, and limit property damage when seconds matter," the Fishers Fire Department stated in their Facebook post.
