In a recent incident, detailed by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Gregory Allen Masterson Jr was arrested for multiple offenses stemming from an aggressive driving incident. While on duty for the Safe Family Aggressive Driving and Seat Belt Enforcement detail, Detective L. Tague noticed a black and silver Mustang, driven by Masterson, speeding through a school zone at 56 mph in a 35 mph area. When Tague attempted to pull over Masterson, the situation escalated.
Masterson failed to comply, running a red light at St Joe Center Rd and N. Clinton St., then proceeded to weave through traffic in an attempt to evade the authorities. The chase ended when Masterson's vehicle collided with a white Nissan Altima, and both vehicles were forced into a guardrail, according to the official report. Following the crash. Masterson attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended shortly after by the police.
The 34-year-old suspect faces several preliminary charges including felony fleeing by a motor vehicle, resisting law enforcement by fleeing on foot, resisting law enforcement physically. and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. These charges suggest a disregard for the safety of others as well as for the law.
