In a celebration of public service and municipal commitment, Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker recently honored a significant number of city employees for their various years of dedication to the community. Amidst the everyday hustle of urban administration, 122 city workers, spanning departments like City Utilities, Community Development, Fire, Parks and Recreation, Police, and Public Works, were acknowledged for reaching impressive milestones in their careers.
The official ceremony recognized employees who notched up 25 to 45 years of service in 2025. “We’re blessed to have excellent employees who are committed to providing the best services possible to the public,” Mayor Tucker said, in a statement that stood out for its heartiness. "Collectively, we’re working each day to ensure Fort Wayne is a fun, family-friendly, and safe community for everyone to enjoy," Tucker further articulated in a statement that resonates with an ethos of shared responsibility and civic pride.
