The Fishers Police Department responded today to reports of a shooting at Britton Tavern, located at 14005 Mundy Drive. Officers arrived around 2:45 a.m., according to a social media post from the department, and found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite attempts by officers and emergency personnel to save him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, authorities have taken 31-year-old Indianapolis resident Maclean Murt into custody in connection with the shooting. Murt was arrested on a preliminary charge of murder, as per the Fishers Police Department.
The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office will notify the victim’s family before releasing his name.
