
On Friday morning, an IndyGo bus was involved in a downtown Indianapolis crash, resulting in minor injuries for two people. According to FOX59, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) was dispatched to the 800 block of N Capitol Ave around 7:18 a.m. following reports of a personal injury accident.
The situation escalated when the IndyGo bus collided with three other vehicles, subsequently causing damage to a nearby building. IMPD officers who arrived at the scene found the bus accident to also to involve one other vehicle that was occupied and two other parked vehicles, as detailed by WTHR. The streets, including St. Clair Street, were blocked off amid the ongoing investigation.
The collision resulted in two individuals, the driver of the bus and a passenger from the occupied vehicle, being transported to an area hospital. Both parties are reported to be in stable condition. This was corroborated by the Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS), which confirmed these details of the incident and the state of the injured parties.
