A disturbing incident occurred at a Miami Gardens daycare earlier this week. Today, authorities charged 35-year-old Antoine Parks after accusations emerged that he engaged in explicit acts near children.
Both a daycare employee, and a parent, observed Parks on a sidewalk outside the Excel Education Academy Daycare, at approximately 17700 NW 27 Ave., as reported by Local 10. Miami Gardens Police Department confirmed with the same outlet that Parks was arrested yesterday at 11 a.m. and later booked into the Turner Guilford Correctional Center before 2:20 p.m. the same day.
According to NBC Miami, an officer spotted Parks standing on the sidewalk, facing towards the fenced playground area, moving his hand back and forth inside his underwear. The concerning behavior led to charges of lewd act in presence of a child and indecent exposure against Parks.
A parent, who had dropped off their child before witnessing the act, immediately alerted a staff member, triggering the response from law enforcement. In front of a Miami-Dade judge on Wednesday, Parks' bond was set at $7,501, and he was given a clear directive to stay away from the daycare, NBC Miami detailed further. Parks is currently awaiting further legal proceedings following the unsettling events near the Excel Education Academy Daycare in Miami Gardens.
