Milton's Fire Station 44 was a hub of holiday cheer this past Saturday as a crowd of roughly 1,200 community members showed up to enjoy the annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa. The event, lasting from morning into the early afternoon, provided a feast of pancakes and an opportunity to snap photos with Santa and characters from Disney's "Frozen."

According to a report by the City of Milton, the festivities didn't just include eating but actively engaged kids to quickly craft "reindeer food" for Christmas Eve and let them experience various arts and crafts. A face painter was also there to transform the faces of attendees into holiday-themed characters under the watchful eyes of beloved characters Anna, Elsa, Sven, and Olaf.

The breakfast set up by Milton first responders involved cooking an impressive amount of food, with 24 five-pound bags of pancake mixes, mentioned in the mix. The community embraced the event’s spirit by posing for pictures with Santa, who reportedly took a break from his North Pole duties to attend for the second straight week. The event also had a charitable aspect, as guests were encouraged to bring unwrapped toys for donation to North Fulton Community Charities.

Not even a Grinch character’s attempts to steal the show could dampen the mood. The costumed character's antics, including swiping some donated toys, ended with a bit of playful law enforcement as he 'DID' swipe several donated toys – only to be  apprehended by our very own Milton Police SLO, Officer Pannell, as per the official city post. This addition to the event only bolstered the sense of community and good cheer throughout the day.

In closing, the event's post expressed gratitude towards attendees and highlighted the communal spirit: "Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday morning to make this always special event that much more special!"
