Temperatures today are expected to reach a high near 54, with south southwest winds shifting and increasing to 15 to 20 mph, with gusts that could reach up to 30 mph. A noticeable change will come later in the day as winds become west northwest.
Tonight's forecast indicates mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to a low of around 27. The northwest wind will also decrease to a gentler pace of 5 to 10 mph after midnight, although gusts could still top out at around 25 mph. According to NWS Nashville, the rest of the week continues this pattern of partly sunny to mostly sunny days with variable wind directions, but expect a chillier weekend ahead with a low of 21 Saturday night.
Thursday's weather is projected to be partly sunny with highs near 43, followed by an overcast night and lows around 35. The wind will maintain a calm presence, starting light from the south and gaining a bit more strength, reaching 5 to 10 mph by the evening. Friday has a forecast for moderate temperatures and mostly sunny skies, with highs approaching the 58 mark, while the evening will see a partly cloudy sky and the temperatures taking a dip to 29.
The weekend brings a mostly sunny Saturday with a daytime high near 49. However, by Saturday night, there's a slight chance of showers preceding a plunge to a chilly low around 21. Sunday ushers in full sunshine, yet with the mercury not rising much past a brisk 33 degrees. The NWS predicts a cold Sunday night with lows tempting to drop to the upper teens. The start of the next week brings a mix of potential rain and snow showers and a minor chance of precipitation at 20 percent. Tuesday continues with a cloudy veneer and a 20 percent chance of showers, raising the highs to near 50 degrees.
