A stabbing at Piere’s Entertainment Center today left one person dead and another injured. Fort Wayne Police reported that they were notified of the incident at about 1:42 a.m. by on-site security during an active concert. Responding officers located an adult male with a stab wound inside the venue. Due to the size of the crowd, additional units were requested to help secure the scene as the investigation began.
Officers later found a second victim, also injured by a knife. Both received immediate medical attention at the scene. One victim was pronounced dead, while the other was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries reported as non-life-threatening. The identity of the deceased is pending family notification, according to the city's release.
The Fort Wayne Police Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Management, and Air Support Unit are actively involved in the investigation. Detectives are reviewing security footage and interviewing witnesses to reconstruct the events. Authorities have not confirmed whether any suspects have been identified or if the incident is connected to other criminal activity in the area.
