A two-vehicle crash occurred yesterday in Johnson County, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old from Nineveh, identified as Robert Toole. The Johnson County coroner confirmed the death yesterday afternoon, and local law enforcement responded to the scene near Franklin.
According to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, cited by WISH-TV, officers responded at 11:29 a.m. to reports of a serious crash at the intersection of Nineveh Road and County Road 80 South, just off U.S. 31 south of Franklin. The individuals involved were taken to nearby hospitals. The crash resulted in the death of Toole and left two other individuals injured. Their names and conditions were not immediately released.
According to FOX59, the crash affected local traffic, leading to the closure of a section of Nineveh Road between U.S. 31 and Windstar while the preliminary investigation is completed. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office described the case as an active investigation, and officials indicated that updates would be provided as additional information becomes available.
