
An investigation has been launched into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a woman earlier today on the south side of Indianapolis. According to FOX59, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers arrived at the 200 block of East Troy Avenue around just before 7 a.m. after reports of a person shot, they discovered an adult female with gunshot wounds and transported her to a hospital in critical condition, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Adding to the narrative, WTHR reports that the incident occurred west of the intersection of Troy Avenue and Meridian Street with IMPD responding to a call about shots fired, officers found the woman who had suffered a gunshot injury, she was declared dead shortly after arriving at the hospital and the details surrounding the shooting have not been made clear as the police investigation continues.
