
A collision in Lauderdale Lakes involving a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy cruiser and a van sent three people to the hospital. The crash occurred yesterday afternoon at the intersection of State Road 7 and West Oakland Park Boulevard. The cause of the collision remains unclear, and it has not been confirmed whether the deputy sustained serious injuries, Local 10 reported.
Authorities closed the intersection following the crash, causing traffic delays, according to the report. Images captured by 7Skyforce showed a BSO cruiser with extensive front-end damage and a white van with its doors open. Both the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue units responded to the scene.
According to WSVN, one of the victims was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All three were transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment.
Following the investigation, authorities have reopened the intersection of North State Road 7 and West Oakland Park Boulevard. Traffic has returned to normal, and the visible aftermath of the collision is no longer affecting drivers or pedestrians in Lauderdale Lakes.
