The Boone County Indiana Sheriff's Office took to social media to honor one of their own. CSI Sgt. Leon Golladay has been commended for his 15 years of loyal service to both the sheriff's office and the local community. A post on the office's official Facebook page celebrated Golladay's dedication, noting his rise from Reserve Deputy to Merit Deputy since 2011.
According to the social media post, Sgt. Golladay kicked off his tenure with BCSO as a Reserve Deputy. He spent four years in this capacity, later transitioning to a Merit Deputy role in 2014, and not long after, ascended to Corporal. His career trajectory took a turn towards forensic science as he honed his skills and attention to detail, eventually landing him the role of a Crime Scene Investigator—the position in which he's said to have made an indelible impact on a myriad of investigations. Additionally, Sgt. Golladay has played a dual role serving as a driver for the Special Response Team (SRT) and managing the agency fleet.
Sgt. Golladay's responsibilities lie within the CASE Task Force (Child Abuse and Sexual Exploitation), where he applies his expertise as a Digital Forensic Examiner. It's there that Golladay contributes to complex examinations which aim to unravel particularly delicate cases. The Facebook post from the sheriff's office states, "Thank you, Sgt. Golladay, for 15 years of dedication, integrity, and commitment to protecting our community. Your work makes a meaningful difference every day."
