The City of Carmel, Indiana, has rolled out a new way to keep its citizens informed with the launch of "The Carmel Catch-Up," a video series featuring updates and insights from Mayor Sue Finkam herself. Residents can tune in for the lowdown on city happenings, and the series kicks off with a focus on an event of great cultural significance: the upcoming MLK Commemoration.
In its inaugural edition, the broadcast has shared details about the commemoration event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., set to take place next Monday at 7 p.m. According to the City of Carmel's social media post, the venue for this reflection, remembrance, and community event is The Tarkington at the Center for the Performing Arts. This marks a time when the city reflects on the enduring impact of Dr. King's work and teachings, which remain as pivotal today, as they did during his life.
Mayor Finkam emphasizes the importance of the MLK Commemoration, inviting all of Carmel's denizens to "Join us for an evening of reflection, remembrance and community as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr."
