The Chicago Police Department has issued a missing person alert for 66-year-old Earl Mitchell. According to a statement from the CPD, he was last seen on December 31, 2025, at around 11 AM in the vicinity of 4300 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Earl Mitchell is described as a Black male with a medium brown complexion, standing 6 feet tall, and weighing between 225 and 235 pounds. With brown eyes and being bald, he was said to be wearing a blue Cubs baseball cap, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black gym shoes at the time of his disappearance.
Wearing a black jacket, the CPD notes that Mitchell may require medical attention and has a developmental affliction.
The authorities are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to make contact immediately. Residents and passersby who might have seen something that can shed light on Mitchell's current location are encouraged to call 911 or reach out to Area One detectives at 312-747-8380. Each tip could be the key to bringing him home.
