Cookeville residents should expect delays on Tuesday, as East 20th Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for sewer tap installation, a fire hydrant replacement, and a water leak repair. The closure will affect the stretch between North Maple Avenue and Brown Avenue, according to the City of Cookeville.
Through traffic on East 20th Street will be blocked, but Denton Avenue will remain open for north-south travel. The City of Cookeville Department of Water Quality Control says this will help reduce disruption during the road work.
