The individuals were identified as 34-year-old Dr. Jean Dominique Foureau and a 38-year-old woman whose name has not been released. Authorities are investigating the case as a suspected murder-suicide.
NBC Miami reported that police responded to a call at approximately 4 a.m. at a residence in the 4800 block of Acadian Trail. Although they were not married, Dr. Jean Dominique Foureau and the woman shared a child. Dr. Foureau served as Chief Resident in Emergency Medicine at Broward Health and was also a Battalion Surgeon with the Florida Army National Guard.
The Coconut Creek Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. According to TAPinto, police spokesperson Scott Leamon stated that officers responded to a domestic-related call and do not expect to make any arrests, as all individuals involved are deceased.
The Florida State Board of Medicine issued Dr. Foureau a medical license in July 2023, which remains listed as active and in good standing. Dr. Foureau was a graduate of Florida State University and previously served in the U.S. Army. Authorities indicated that additional information about the victim will be released after next-of-kin notifications are completed.
