
An altercation inside the Swap Shop in Lauderhill yesterday afternoon swiftly escalated into gun violence, leaving one man with a gunshot wound. According to CBS News Miami, the incident took place around 4 p.m. at the local flea market situated at 3291 West Sunrise Blvd.
The confrontation arose from a heated exchange that grew into a physical scuffle. The men, during the struggle, fought to gain control over a gun. It discharged, striking one of the individuals in the leg. The Local 10 News report notes that the injured man's condition was listed as non-life-threatening and he was quickly transported to receive medical attention at a nearby hospital. Thankfully, no other patrons were harmed in this abrupt outburst of gunfire.
The Lauderhill Police Department has confirmed that both of the men involved have been identified, but they have not yet singled out a suspect. Authorities have maintained a notable presence on site following the event, as Sky 10's overhead footage captured.
