Indiana University quarterback Fernando Mendoza, fresh off a national championship and Heisman Trophy win, is meeting fans today at the local DICK’S Sporting Goods in Bloomington. According to IndyStar, 250 wristbands became available at 9 a.m. today on a first-come, first-served basis. The meet-and-greet will take place at the DICK’S Sporting Goods at 2850 E. 3rd St. from 5 to 6:30 p.m and a chance to receive an autographed item.
The College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy will also be on display at two local stores. As per FOX59, fans can view the trophy at Kroger, 1175 S. College Mall Road, and Walmart, 3313 IN-45. Admission is free, giving fans a chance to see the trophy even if they are unable to attend the autograph event.
Bloomington will host a “Championship Celebration” on Saturday at 1 p.m., honoring Indiana University’s recent national title, as reported by FOX59. The event is free and open to the public, offering fans a chance to celebrate the team’s achievement and view the championship trophy or receive an autographed photo card.
