In a recent social media campaign dubbed #WhyIMPDWednesday, IMPD highlighted the various avenues through which officers can explore different specialties and take on new challenges within the force.
Their promotional effort, shared on Facebook prior to the New Year, positions the IMPD as a place where every skill and passion has a place. IMPD News shared a post emphasizing the starting point aspect of a law enforcement career with them. "With opportunities to grow, explore different units, and challenge yourself in new ways, there’s a place for every skill and passion," the post stated.
"Ready to make a difference?" the post asks, dangling the notion that engaging in police work is synonymous with having a meaningful impact on the community.
