The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 68-year-old man, Lenard Blackmon. According to IMPD, Blackmon was last seen near Methodist Hospital on Friday last week. He is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes, FOX59 reported. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.
IMPD detectives believe he may be in the downtown Indianapolis area, according to WTHR.
As per WRTV, IMPD investigators received new information Friday indicating that Blackmon’s need for medical attention may be more urgent than initially believed. Police have not released details about his medical condition and continue to ask the public to report any information immediately.
Anyone with information about Blackmon’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the IMPD Missing Persons Unit at 317-327-6160. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
