Hamilton County students can participate in the Indiana House Page Program for the 2026 legislative session. House Speaker Todd Huston described the program as a valuable experience for young Hoosiers, according to a press release from the Indiana House Republicans.
The full-day program is open to students aged 13 to 18 and provides an excused absence from school. Pages will tour the Statehouse, observe legislative sessions, and meet with their representatives from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. State Rep. Chris Jeter said the program teaches students about the responsibilities and teamwork involved in the legislative process.
State Rep. Danny Lopez said the program allows students to actively engage with Indiana’s legislative process. Pages serve on Wednesdays, and interested students can contact the program director at 317-232-9410 or [email protected], according to the Indiana House Republicans.
State Rep. Hunter Smith noted that the program is a valuable experience for students. Participants must bring their own lunch and arrange transportation to and from the Statehouse. Program details and applications are available on the Indiana House Republicans website.
