Clear skies tonight will give way to increasing clouds on Tuesday, with temperatures possibly reaching 50°F. However, the warmer weather will be short-lived. The National Weather Service says rain and possible snow could arrive Wednesday, with highs near 42°F and west-northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph. Snow is likely Wednesday night as temperatures drop to around 18°F, bringing a sharp return to winter conditions.
Thursday will remain unsettled, with partly sunny skies and a high near 27°F, along with persistent north-northwest winds. Snow chances return Thursday night into Friday. Indianapolis could see a 50% chance of snow Friday, with highs near 35°F before temperatures drop again Friday night.
The pattern continues into the weekend, with a mix of clouds and a 30% chance of snow Saturday and highs near 29°F. Temperatures will drop to around 9°F overnight. Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 21°F, extending the stretch of cold weather in Indianapolis.
